Hamburg, April 11, 2024: Green FOX Energy, an investor, project developer and operator of renewable energy plants in Germany, has started construction of a solar park in the middle of the Lüneburg Heath, near the village of Eyendorf. The park with around 25,000 photovoltaic modules will produce more than 15 million kilowatt hours per year. This corresponds to an annual saving of around 10,700 tons of CO2. Remuneration under the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG) is guaranteed for the electricity generated for a period of 20 years. The solar park is scheduled for completion by late summer 2024.
“We are delighted to be realizing one of our first major solar parks near Eyendorf. We are building a photovoltaic system on an area of around twelve hectares that could supply around 4,600 households with green electricity,” says Sven Meißner, Managing Director of Green FOX Energy. “We have expanded our team in Hamburg with the aim of significantly expanding Green FOX Energy’s portfolio. Starting with the identification of suitable sites, we accompany our investment projects through all planning and approval procedures right up to power generation. The project pipeline is extremely well filled with around 2 GWp, and a number of projects have already received planning permission or are at an advanced stage,” explains Tobias Aulich, Managing Director of Green FOX Energy.
